UN-Paid Comedians

My kids continue to amaze me with the things they do and say. They are perfect comedians and they aren't even trying.

The other day i was feeding all the kids i babysit and my two also. I use some plates I got at walmart and they are divided. I dont usually pay attention to which color I give to each child. Gabriel was about halfway through his meal when he noticed he was eating out of a pink plate. He told me "I don't want this Lady plate." It took me a minute to figure out exactly what he was talking about. Then, a day or two later I came home with some chocolate covered strawberry ice cream from blue bell. It comes in a pink container. He told me he wanted some of that Lady ice cream. It's so funny that he associates pink with a lady. I've never told him anything about that and he even has a couple pink shirts.

Then, Zoe. She was MIA one day for about 10 min. We were at my sis-in-law's house. Her husband, Tim, found her in the closet with an orange crayola marker. She loves to write and she usually is good about staying on the paper, but with a lack of paper I guess she decided to write on herself. When he brought her out she said, "Look, mama, look. Pretty, Mama." LOL. How can you fuss her for that. Afterall she was just getting creative.

An interesting post from my Bro-In-Law.

click here for a good read

I'm not a big one for politics. Its mostly about who can tell the bigger lie and who has the most money and all that jazz but i must say i do not like the idea of Obama as the next pres.

As a christian, I dont think i could ever vote for this man. Not that i'm super interested in his opponent. I'm just not interested in him. He doesnt seem like the nicest guy.

Ten things you love but may never say aloud.

A just for fun post. I noticed how much i love swinging my ponytail back and forth so i decided to blog about it. LOL.

I Love...

1. To swing my ponytail when i walk.

2. Help name people's children.

3. Dance when no one is home.

4. Smell babies.

5. Try to comfort a baby when someone else cant.

6. Roll around in my computer chair.

7. It when bad people become good.

8. Feeding or cooking for people.

9. Being crafty.

10. Saftey pins.

Tag a couple of people and enjoy

Floored!!!

How many times can you sweep your floor and then look forward to doing it again? I truly love taking care of my family. I do. Promise. But, do I have to enjoy picking up every crumb i step on on my floor. I hate cleaning my floors. I'd rather have a maid to do it. I dont mind dishes, but only because i have a dishwasher and washing clothes is fine until i have to fold them. I don't mind picking up my children's toys and cleaning their room, except for the blocks. My room is another story. I think my hubby and i are completely ok with letting our clothes lie where they may and just never cleaning in there. So here is the meaning of this blog. Name something you'd rather write a blog about than do.

I'd much rather blog than clean my floors. Which needs to be done right now.

A beautiful Story

Issac
This is a blog i found that has totally touched my heart. I don't know how i could handle losing a baby in such a way. I truly admire Stacy and her husband. They are stronger than I can say. This link is for a slideshow of Issac's sweet life. As short as it was it was still very powerful. Stacy has a strong heart and I see God in her life. I pray that God will see her through this struggle. God bless this family.

Birthday Girl

Today was Lauren's b-day. One of the one's I babysit. So, her momma brought cupcakes. So of course we had to take pictures. Then, each child had to have a candle in their cupcake. It is so cute that they are friends and they are so little. Raylan and Zoe actually play together on purpose. Its so cute. They get their little purses and walk around together and they give each other high 5's.
I took a birthday picture of Lauren. Two years old today. Gabriel and Zoe had to have theirs done too.
I had a busy day. I painted two name plaques. Well one was actually a bow holder for Lauren. I baked a cake for Bunko tonight.(a totally awesome game. I'll blog about it later) Edited pics and printed them out for the mom's. Did a load of dishes, took a bath, had two small birthday parties(breakfast and snack time. All this with 5 kids running around my house. Thats about all.

Sunday's Best

Gabriel and Zoe ready for church one sunday morning. Gabriel said he had to have his tie out because he couldn't walk with it tucked in. lol.
This dress was a great flea market find. I love shopping second hand. Ebay and flea markets are where i find my best deals on expensive dresses and shoes!! My grandmother, Mawmaw Irene, found this at a thrift store for $10 and she couldn't resist. Zoe was so excited. All day long she would pat on her dress and say MawMaw, MawMaw!! I loved it. So cute and pretty for a sunday dress.

The next week MawMaw brought Zoe some new earings and she did the same thing all day with a couple added words. MawMaw gave that! LOL.

All Star Lunch

I enjoy lunch time with all the children. But, unfortunately, my kids never eat as good as the ones i babysit. So i tried to get creative. Make it a fun lunch. Gabriel and Zoe never want to eat a sandwich the correct way. They like to open it up and eat just the meat and cheese and sometimes the bread. But today Gabriel (not Zoe) learned to correct way to eat a sandwich. He was so excited that he was eating a star sandwich.

These were made just like a regular sandwich and then i used a star cookie cutter. I saved the leftovers and let them eat the meat that was cut off.

They also love having a picnic outside. But is was kinda damp so we were under the garage.

Pregnancy

I was looking at some old pics and i found these so i thought i'd blog about them.

I truly loved being pregnant. I loved everything about it. It was such a wonderful amazing thing. God is so real. Only a loving God can create things with such wonder. I loved the feeling of a life being inside of me. I loved the cravings, the beauty it brings to a mother, the clothes, the anticipation. Both of my babies were tiny so i didnt get too big. but i wanted to.

Gabriel Everett Chi weighed 4.2 oz. He was a miracle baby. He was shrinking inside me because i had lost all of my amniotic fluid. How? No Clue. It just dissappeared. Had to have an emergency c-section. Where i was told he may or may not make it. But, glory to God, he did.
Zoe Christabelle was such a beauty!! She came in a much calmer way. We had a scheduled date in which we drove to the hospital and she was taken out of me. I love the sound of a fairly quiet room and then a child is born and it is no longer quiet. Lol.

Oh Sweet Nap Time!

Okay, I babysit 4 kids and i have 2 of my own. Needless to say, nap time is one of the high points in my day. LOL. I actually get to eat and do whatever i want!! (Sometimes)

Most of them are on the same schedule, but i have a 3 month old that i watch and she is on her own schedule. But, she is a good baby. Age wise i have Gabriel, 2 3/4 ; Lauren, 2; Zoe, 1 3/4; Raylan, 1 1/2; Jace, 1; and Morgan 3m. WOW.

I love nap time!

Whats in a Name??

Ok, this post was inspired by rubyellen. I was reading a bit of her blog and I was intrigued by her children's names.

I had a former post about names that i went back and read. You can click here to read it.
My children are Gabriel Evertt Chi and Zoe Christabelle.
Gabriel's full name means God's Strong Anointed Man.
Zoe's full name means Beautiful Anointed Life.
We choose their names because of their meaning. I believe that God did the same thing when he renamed Abram to Abraham, Jacob to Isreal. And many others that he chose to give new names. God's word is very clear to say that the words we speak can either come as life or death. We should never speak negative things. Always speak life. I catch myself saying "I think my children are getting sick". Right there i'm am agreeing with the enemy and not with God. God says he took stripes on his back for our sickness and if i disagree with God, then my children probally will end up sick. But anyway, back to names.

I love the thought of having the different forms of christ in my children's names because Christ means annointed. I used Chi for Gabe and Christabelle for Zoe. I'm still searching for more names to use for my upcoming children's middle or first names. Not that i'm pregnant or plan to be in the next 2 to 3 years, but thats just something i'm always searching for. I think I like Christianna. Not quite sure yet. I'm still stuck on using Chi for my next boy because I cant find anything that i trully love.

Also, I really like two name first names. Such as, Ella Grace or Lilla Kate for girls. I dont have many suggestions for 2NFN for boys. I do know a boy that is called Robert Allen.

So thats what kind of suggestions i'm looking for from anyone. Chi names and 2NFN. Thanks.

Baby Jesus and the Leatherback Turtle

Okay, so i'm sure you wondering what the heck i'm blogging about here. But its hilarious. My son has been very interested in Bible stories lately and we told him the story about Mary being the mother of Baby Jesus. Well, my mom bought him some bible figurines from the dollar store. He has Mary, Moses, and Noah. He decided to take a bath with them the last two nights.

Also, Gabriel has been very intrigued by Diego from Nick, Jr. And we have the episode of Diego saves the leatherback sea turtle recorded so he has watched it several times. So, tonight while he was bathing he asked for mary and then when i put all his other bath toys in there was a baby and i told him that it was baby Jesus. Later, he asked for his turtle. And I brought it to him. Then, I returned later to find Baby Jesus riding on the back of the turtle all over the tub. He told me so calmly that baby jesus was riding on the turtle. It was so cute.

Game Face!!

Last night we went to a high school football game. Gabriel loves to watch football, well any kind of ball game really. Zoe likes to watch the cheerleaders. So, I decked them out in their LSU Tiger outfits and painted their faces. Gabriel wanted to bring his glove, his helment, his football, and his baseball. He kinda mixes them all up. They had a blast of course. Gabe kept saying that he wanted to go down there and play too. Zoe cheered and clapped.

When we got home I told Gabriel to put his GameFace on. I showed him how to "Grrrr" like a football player.

They both got footballs at the game and Gabriel can throw his very well.

Today they are off to yet another game. They went to Summer and Erin's Soccer game. They love it.

Time to Resurrect!!

Its been like forever. My babies are growing and we are so busy, i just forgot about this blog.

But here we go!!!

These are some new matching outfits i bought for Gabriel and Zoe. They so should've been twins. They are both 24 lbs. and Gabriel is only about an inch taller than Zoe. She is catching up with him in talking. She is such a copy cat. She does whatever he does. The other day they were in the nursery at church and Zoe was on a horse that Gabe wanted to be on. So, Gabriel being as bright as he is, went and climbed on a chair knowing that Zoe would follow. Sure enough, she did. So Gabriel seized that oppurtunity to get on the horse. I didnt know whether to call him smart or decietful.
Zoe is starting to potty train with Gabriel. He is not too interested in it. He tells me when he goes in his diaper and she has caught on. Several times she has told me she had to poo poo and she really does it. Go, ZOE!!!
Gabriel is so into bible stories right now. And he remembers a lot about every story. He knows the names of the three Hebrew boys, Shaddrach, Meshach, and Abendego. He knows the story of Jonah the best. He also loves Daniel and the lions den, David and Goliath, Mary and the angel Gabriel, Moses and the burning bush, Noah and the Ark. And he remembers something about all of these. Can you say WOW. Wow. Thats what i say all the time. He amazes me.

Rocking Rockfest

Are you proud...2 in one week???

We took our youth group to amite, la for Rockfest. It was being put on by our old chuch. It was so much fun. I made Gabe and Zoe shirts that said "my nanny is a rockstar" because Raynelle(thier nanny) was the lead singer in Evangeline Watch. They are awesome. You can check them out on myspace at http://www.myspace.com/evangelinewatch . There was also two other bands there that rocked, Kings Fall and Elesyuum. The kids had a great time.

I loved Zoe's tutu so much. I made it for her. She was a rockstar that day.
This is a pic i caught that day. It kinda looks like Jesus' White horse, Huh!!!

Easter 08

Well i guess its time for a blog. I know its been forever. These are some of my easter pics.

I took my kids to my Papa's nursing home for an easter egg hunt. They loved it. Zoe did a great job of losing her eggs as she walked. It was so funny. But, she'd just go right back and pick them up. Gabe helped her.

Our family got together the saturday before at my grandparents house. We decided to take a grandkid picture. Even though we are missing some of the grandchildren. We had a good day. My grandfather is aging a lot lately and he doesn't always know whats happening. But during the day when i was talking to him he motioned for me to sit on his lap. It was so sweet. I enjoyed it even though i was trying to hold myself up so i wouldn't crush him. I was wishing someone would have taken a picture, but its just something i'll have to remember forever.

"When a person, yielding to God and believing the truth of God, is filled with the Spirit of God, even his faintest whisper will be worship." A.W. Tozer

I got this from another blog and I just loved it. I love God and all he does. It doesn't take much for us to sacrifice the tiniest whisper of worship to Him daily. But we do take Him for granted so often. There are days when its bedtime and i have to ask myself if i talked to God today. Thats shameful of me. God, help me to always remember to thank you.

Blankie Loving

My kids love their blankies and I wanted to take some pics with them so they can see how much they loved them when they are older. I love the way these turned out. I took 3 of each so I can frame them all together. I just learned how to do this selective color thing and I LOVE IT! I feel like i have accomplished something in my life!! lol!! It really isnt as hard as it looks.

This is a little girl i babysit that also loves her blankie terribly.

Pink & Blue She's 1 He's 2

Happy 1st Birthday Zoe Christabelle. you are beautiful baby! And it was a hot January day as usual. Dont freak out because my kid isnt dressed.
Zoe and Mommy
Singing happy birthday
Zoe's shirt said Pink w/ the number 1 on the back. There were so cute and of course they wouldnt let me get a good pic of them in them.

This was the cake table for Gabriel and Zoe's party. We had pink and blue cookies. We drank Pretty in Pink Punch and Bippity Boppity Blue Punch.

We had Pink & Blue Rice for the gumbo. Everyone was a little freaked out. Only one person refused not to eat it.
Stealing a bite.
Gabriel and Granny. He was so happy to finally get his Happy Cake (as he calls it). And when asked how old he is he says 1, 2! The cake was dyed pink on the inside and it had blue filling even though you can't see it well here.

Needless to say we had a grreat day. My babies did fine even though i didnt think and planned the party at their nap time. No whining or crying. I loved thier party but i was sad because my babies are growing up. I have to finish with the potty training and start breaking Zoe from the bottle. Growing up is so sad and happy at the same time.
